These photos are made of gel made for women in Israel. This prison named after the name of the Norwegian Rev. is present in Ramle, where about 200 prisoners are staying at this time. They are between 18 and 70 years of age. Tel-Aviv based photographer Tomar Ifrah captures the photos of this prison
Tomar got a chance to enter this jail in 2011. He had reached there on an assignment with the reporter.
- His real work was to take photographs of single prisoners, but after entering the jail, he started working in his own way.
- For three months the photographer spent one week in this woman jail and imprisoned the prisoners' lives in the camera.
Tomar said that these prisoners are from different backgrounds and are from mostly weak minority communities.
These women are not Israelis. Most of them are from Russia, Ethiopia and South American countries.
Most women prisoners living in jail are punishing for the second or third time in major crime cases.
