The history of Khajuraho in Chhattarpur district of Madhya Pradesh is quite old. Khajuraho was named Khajuraho because there was a large garden of palm trees. In the words of Chand Bardai, it was called 'Khajurpur' and at one time it was also known as 'Khajur Bechar'. People believed that this name should have been lying on this date due to two palm trees on the city gate which would later be called Khajuraho.



- The Temple of Khajuraho is included in the UNESCO World Heritage Site. This temple is famous for its cosmic shape and artistic artwork and erotic idols. The temples were built in 950 and 1050 by the kings of Chandel empire.

According to historians, there are 85 temples in the group of Khajuraho temples from the 12th Century, which were spread over 20 km radius. Out of these, only 20 temples have remained, which is spread over a radius of 6 km. Among the remaining temples, Kandariya Mahadev Temple has also been informed of various events in history, this temple is a living example of Indian ancient art exhibit.
