Born on August 4, 1929 in Khandwa city of Madhya Pradesh, Kishore Kumar's father's name was Kunjalal Ganguly and mother's name was Gauri Devi.

His childhood name was Abhas Kumar Ganguly. In the film world, Kishore Kumar was named after him.



- He was the youngest of his four siblings. His father was a very big advocate of Keylal Khandwa.
