            Veteran Actress Vyjyanthimala has turned 81 on August 13. Born in Chennai (Tamil Nadu) in 1936, Vaijayanti is away from the movies, but few people know that he took entry in films at the age of 13. In 1949, 'Vazhkai' was the first film in Tamil language. Vyjayanthi was found in acting legacy. His mother Vasundhara was a popular actress of Tamil films in the 40s



Vyjayanthimala took entry in Bollywood at the age of 15. 'Bahar', which was released in 1951, was his first Bollywood movie.

Later, he appeared in 'Nagin' in 1954 and 'Devdas' in 1955.

In 'Devdas', Vayjayanti played Chandramukhi, for which he also got his first Filmfare Award (Best Supporting Actress). However, they refused to accept it.



- Vaijayanti said that his role in the film was not supported. After Devdas, Vaijayanti has worked in many films like 'New Delhi', 'New Round', 'Asha', 'Sadhana' and 'Madhumati'.
