This condition occurs when the baby's abdominal valve is not fully formed during pregnancy and the intestines develop out of the body.

 -So doctors saved her life by wrapping a cling film. It is a thin film made of plastic, which is similar to the film found in the supermarket. 

-Crystal's family had done this before, so when he heard about the use of the clinging film, he was not surprised.
