47 years ago, in the 1971 Indo-Pak war, 90 thousand Pakistani soldiers were imprisoned in India. During that war, the Taj Mahal was covered with a huge cloth so that the enemy (Pakistan) could not harm the Taj Mahal of his country. Even before this, during the second world war in 1942, Taj Mahal was covered with clothes similar to that which remained in this condition for 15 days. After this it was opened to the people again.
To cover the Taj Mahal, ASI (Archaeological Survey of India) made the security cover around the Taj Mahal four and more.
- Plants were planted around its floor so that it looked like grass or mound above it.
