Since the offensive tweets, Kapil Sharma has filed a complaint against his former manager, Niti, Preeti and journalist Vicky Lalwani in the police station. Kapil accused all of them about 25 lakh rupees, and said that Vicky Lalwani was trying to defame him in the digital media. Before engaging in this new case, he had been badly criticized about Salman Khan's case. Kapil's fans also supported Salman Khan while supporting his abuse.

On the other hand Kapil's show Family Time with Kapil Sharma is getting bad reactions from the people, while his co-actors are also seen making him distance from them.
