65th National Film Awards were announced in Delhi on Friday. While announcing the awards, Committee Chairman Shekhar Kapur said that Vinod Khanna will be honored with posthumous Dadasaheb Phalke Award. Explain that Vinod Khanna died from bladder cancer at the age of 71 on April 27, 2017. In the affidavit of the nomination for the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, he had declared his total property Rs 66.92 crores.
Khanna, while giving his property information along with the nomination papers, had said that his name is Rs. 31.21 crores and his wife Kavita Khanna and two daughters have properties worth Rs. 35.71 crores.
In addition to these, he had invested Rs 7.37 crores in mutual funds and several companies.
