Cricket Australia has completed its investigation of ball-tampering in Cape Town Test and has sentenced the three players who have made a tampering tactic. Steve Smith and David Warner have been banned for one year, while young batsman Cameron Bancroft has been banned for 9 months. According to Cricket Australia, these three players will not be able to participate in domestic cricket, not just international.
After this decision, the BCCI has now announced that Smith and Warner will not participate in this year's IPL. In fact, IPL chairman Rajeev Shukla said in his statement that the future of Smith and Warner in the IPL 2018 depends on the decisions of Cricket Australia. After which he has banned both the players from this year's IPL. Rajeev Shukla said that in place of these players the teams will have the right to choose other players.
