सीताजी से जुड़ी खास जगहें: एक जगह लिया जन्म-एक जगह समा गई धरती में

There are two places associated with the birth and Samadhi of Lord Rama's wife Sita, both of these places are known as Sitamarhi. In a Sitamarhi, Mother Sita was born and fell into another land. In the Sitamarhi which Bhagwati was born, today the district of Bihar state and this city is known as mother Sita.

According to the Ramayana, there was a terrible famine in Mithila town once in Tretayuga. Disturbed by the lack of rainfall for many years, King Janak decided to run the plow himself on the advice of the preachers. When Raja Janak was running the plow, then a pot of soil came out from the earth, in which mother Sita was in infancy. At this place, Mata Sita was born from the land, hence the name of this place fell to Sitamarhi.

Another Sitamarhi associated with Mata Sita is between Allahabad and Varanasi of the state of Uttar Pradesh. After being abandoned by Lord Rama, mother Sita lived in this place at the place of sage Valmiki's ashram. At this place, Love and Kush were born and Mother Sita was absorbed in the earth.
