For the eleventh season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), the players' auction is to be held on 27 and 28 January in Bangalore. Prior to January 4, all franchises have to submit a list of players who want to retain them. Most teams have prepared a list of the names of the players to be retaken. However, it has not been made public. Meanwhile, according to media reports, last season's champions team Mumbai Indians will replace allrounder Krunal Pandya in place of his star bowler Jaspreet Bumrah. Apart from this, there are also team captain Rohit Sharma and all-rounder Hardik Pandya in his list of the retired players.
It is believed that Binrah is the reason behind retaking the krunal because of the cost of these two players. On retaking the krunal, the team will have to spend Rs 3 crores, while for Bumrah, they will have to lose Rs 7 crores.
