21-year-old Aanchal Thakur of Himachal has created history by giving India the first medal in skiing. Manali's Aanchal Thakur named Bronze Medal on India's International Level Skiing Competition on Tuesday.
He is the first Indian to win a medal in the International Skiing Competition, who has bronze in Alpine Egder 3200 Cup. The Alpine Egder 3200 Cup organizes the Ski International Federation (FIS). Aanchal won this medal in Slalom (ski race on spiral path) race category.
