On the demise of Shashi Kapoor, many political leaders, including Bollywood, paid tribute to him. Outside his ancestral home located in Kaiser Khawani Bazar, Peshawar, neighboring Pakistan, people burned candles and remembered them. Please tell that Kapoor Haveli was constructed in 1918 by Shashi Kapoor's grandfather Devan Baveshwaranath in Dhoki Nalbandi of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Later Shashi Kapoor's family shifted to Pakistan.
On December 4, Shashi Kapoor died at the age of 79. After complaining of chest pain, he was admitted to the Kokila Ben Hospital in Mumbai, where he breathed his last. His funeral was done on 5th December.
