Maruti was founded in 1981. In 1982, the Japanese company Suzuki partnered with and started production till 1983.

Currently, Maruti is building 15 lakh vehicles every year. If average is taken out, then 1 vehicle is being created every 12 seconds.

- Talk about the plant, two plants have been planted in Gurgaon and Manesar. The first plant was planted in Gurgaon. Where Maruti 800, Alto, WagonR, Estilo, Omni, Gypsy, Eritiga, Ritz carts are made.

The Manesar plant was installed in February 2007. The plant is spread over 600 acres. Initially, this plant's capacity was to build 1 lakh vehicles every year, but later it increased to 3 lakh vehicles.

- At present, the capacity of this plant is to generate 8 lakh vehicles every year.

Maruti claims to be an engineer of 1 lakh 32 thousand skilled workers. Maruti makes 150 variants of 15 cars in their two plants and carries them to 1500 different cities of the country.
