While disclosing, Kohli revealed that he was afraid of facing Sri Lankan fast bowler Lasith Malinga's Yorker in the 2011 World Cup final. Kohli did not have such a big name in the cricket world till the World Cup. The World Fine match was being played at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium and Malinga initially sent both openers, Virender Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar back to the pavilion. Virat Kohli came down to bat on number 4. Kohli, who made important contributions of 83 runs with Gautam Gambhir, scored 35 runs in that final. Now he has disclosed what was going on in his mind when he came to bat after Sachin's dismissal.



It was of this fear that Kohli told Aamir Khan on the show, "I was scared that do not put Malinga Yorker. I was already nervous. But after playing 2-3 balls, I got settled." The Indian cricket team did the World Cup in 2011 after 28 years. Thanks to the spectacular batting of Gautam Gambhir and Mahendra Singh Dhoni in the finals, the team easily chased away the difficult target given by Sri Lanka.
