जानिए किस प्रकार हुआ, इस्लाम का उदय और हिजरी सन की शुरुआत

Initially the Arabs were divided into many tribes. The leader of each skill was a Sheikh. At that time the system was based on family arrangements. But still most people were chosen on the basis of personal courage, intelligence and generosity (murva). Each clan had its own goddess, who used to worship in mosques as Batu (Sanam). Many of these Arab tribes were nomadic (Badin).

Prophet Muhammad's own tribe lived in Quresh, Mecca and they had control over the shrine. The structure of this place was thick and it was called 'Kaba', where the feet were kept. The people of the tribe outside Mecca also considered Kaba to be holy, they used to keep their feet in it and used to do religious pilgrimage (Hajj) of this shrine every year. Kaaba was considered a place (Haram) where violence was forbidden and security was provided to all visitors.

Around the year 612 Prophet Muhammad himself proclaimed the messenger of God (Rasool), who were commanded to preach that only the worship of Allah should be done.

The Muslims had to face heavy opposition from the rich people of Mecca shortly, who were disappointed to reject the Goddesses and those who had considered the new religion as a threat to the prestige and prosperity of Maize
