          There are very few people in the world, who made their entire lives in the name of poor without any selfishness. Mother Teresa is also among such few selected people. Mother Teresa may not be alive today, but her views are still showing a lot of people the way. On August 26, 1910, Mother Teresa was born in the city of Skopje, Macedonia, but she gave the name of India the whole time. The image you see above is Mother Teresa's idol. Mother Teresa introduced Missionaries of Charity in India under the Roman Catholic Organization in 1950.

- This organization works for the welfare and rehabilitation of victims of destitute, leprosy and tuberculosis. This institution is now working in 133 countries with the help of 4500 Active Sisters.

- Mother Teresa received Nobel Peace Prize for this great service in 1979.



Mother Teresa once said, "She is an Albanian from blood but is a citizen of Indian origin, she is a Catholic nun, because I say to myself the whole world, I find myself connected to Jesus with my heart."



- Mother Teresa breathed her last in Kolkata on September 5, 1997.
